August Monthly Meeting

Our guest speaker this month is Jack Berry, Executive Director, Venture Richmond.

Jack’s topic is "Proposed Shockoe Ballpark and Heritage Site."  He will talk about the mayor’s economic development proposal to construct a ballpark and slavery heritage site in Shockoe Bottom, as well as plans to redevelop the Boulevard site for a mix of uses, thus generating new tax revenue for the City budget.  Jack will address the controversial issues, take questions, and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the various concepts.
