MONTHLY MEETINGS
Come Join Us!
To accommodate our members, we hold our monthly meetings in a variety of formats including:
- online virtual meetings that you can join from your computer, tablet, smartphone or regular phone with topics of interest to retirees including an annual update from the Benefits Department.
- hybrid meetings that are in-person at PMUSA and Altria locations in Richmond VA and are also broadcast virtually
- tours and volunteer events in the RVA area, including lunch (self-pay) at nearby restaurants
- annual State of the Business hybrid meeting followed by a Member Appreciation Reception - usually in September
- our annual Holiday Luncheon in December and a catered picnic in June
Most meetings are at 11:00 am on the 4th Tuesday of the month. For in-person meetings, you can arrive beginning at 10:00 am for refreshments & fellowship!
You must register for monthly meetings (both virtual and in-person) on our website. Only those registered will receive a link to join online meetings and be put on the Security list to attend in-person meetings at Altria facilities. Please register on the website (preferred), or email us at RetireesConnection@gmail.com no later than the end of the day on the Thursday before our Tuesday meeting. When attending meetings at an Altria facility, please give Security your name at the gate and show a photo ID such as a driver's license. You can use your Retirees' Association picture badge as a name badge for meetings.
Meeting Drawings at in-person meetings
There are two regular $25 drawings and sometimes a surprise drawing or two - free ticket for everyone attending!
- New Member of the Month Drawing: for new members since the last Monthly Meeting, and their sponsors – both Identify yourself when picking up your BLUE raffle ticket
- Current Members of the Month Drawing: All other members attending the meeting will receive a RED raffle ticket
Optional 50/50 Raffle - For those that enjoy the fun of raffles, we offer an optional cash raffle - 1 ticket $5/ 3 tickets $10. The proceeds are split between one or two raffle winners and the Retirees Association.
Are you on severance bridging to retirement?
If you would like to attend our Richmond Retirees Association meetings, you will need to get on our “Bridging to Retirement” list to be admitted to the meetings. The best way to do this is by signing up on the website. Go to the New Member Application link in the top navigation bar and fill out an application. You will be placed on the list to attend, pending paying your $20 per year dues online or by mail.
