WHAT: Electronic Recycling Event in support of Tech for Troops

WHEN: Tuesday, 10/24/17   8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

WHERE: Call Federal Credit Union parking lot,  4605 Commerce Road, Richmond, VA (look for the pick-up truck with the Tech for Troops banner)

WHY: To support the Tech for Troops Project that refurbishes computers and donates to Veterans and their families.  All donations are Tax Deductible. You will be provided with proof of your donation.

The following will be accepted:

  • Laptops with or without power adapters
  • Desktop computers
  • Working flat panel monitors
  • Tablets
  • Cell Phones
  • Mice
  • Keyboards
  • Printers

The following CANNOT be accepted:

  •       CRT Monitors (the big old box type)
  •       Monitors with cracked screens
  •       Scanners

Take care of the data on your computer. We recommend you back up the data you want to keep and then delete all data. DBAN is a commonly used program for deleting data. However, if you cannot delete your data, Tech for Troops secures all hard drives, cell phones, etc., in a secure locked location and makes sure that your data is deleted.
