Speaker: David Fisk, Executive Director, Richmond Symphony, and Erin Frye, Marketing & Public Relations Manager and daughter of Bill Frye, a retiree who worked in IT for over 30 years.
Topic: Richmond Symphony’s 60th Anniversary Celebration: Past, Present, and Future.
Commentary on the Symphony's vision to change lives through the power of music will include illustrations of the essential work being carried out each week by the Symphony across the region and in the public schools of Richmond and the surrounding counties. The presentation will touch on the Richmond Symphony's role as a leader in the US orchestra field, relate the organization's successes (and its challenges) in attracting the next generation of attendees, advocates and supports, and suggest- most intriguingly - what it might mean for the Symphony to want to look, feel, and be distinctly different by 2020, to better reflect the communities it seeks to serve.
Notes: Doors to the cafeteria open at 10:00 a.m. for fellowship and light refreshments. Meeting starts promptly at 11:00 a.m.
