Speaker: Marie Kolendo, CEO for Richmond Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association
Topic: “Alzheimer’s & Dementia: What You Need to Know” Did you know there is a difference between memory loss associated with normal aging and dementia? Marie will cover that and other important topics including the differences between Alzheimer’s and dementia, the services the Alzheimer’s association provides both locally and nationally to individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's and their families and care partners, and volunteer opportunities and what each entails. Marie will also provide information about risk factors and what we can do to keep our brains healthy. She will have handouts and plans to stay after the meeting and have lunch so we can ask questions that we are not comfortable asking in the meeting. The holidays are a busy time but you should try to make time for this. Register
