Topic: “Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Solar Power: The Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship”
Join us for a discussion of the new, emerging technology of battery-powered transportation. Hear from 2 members of the local electric vehicle organization, Drive Electric RVA, about their experiences owning plug-in vehicles. Whether you own an EV already or are just hearing about them for the first time, you can come and share your own stories and questions. Issues like charging availability and charge time, as well as the different models and their costs, both initial and over their lifetime, will be addressed. The environmental impact of driving EVs vs. gasoline vehicles will also be explored. Following the meeting, there will be a car show.
Notes: Please feel free to invite a retiree friend who hasn’t attended a meeting in a while or has never attended. They will need a government issued picture ID to obtain entry to the property. If they arrive in your car, they do not need to be on the Security List, but if they are driving separately, please ask them to sign up on the website or send us an email at www.retireesconnection.org no later than noon on the Thursday before the meeting to be added to the Security List.
