January 2020 Monthly Meeting

Speaker: Dr. Steven Schroder, Altria’s Strategy and Business Group

Topic:  “Cannabis – A New Growth Opportunity in an Adjacent Category”

The global cannabis industry could exceed $100 billion over the next decade if a wave of legalization sweeps the United States, Europe and Latin America. In 2019, Altria invested approximately $1.8 billion in Cronos Group, a leading diversified and vertically integrated cannabis company, to participate in the emerging global cannabis category. Steven will provide an overview of the cannabis sector, the Cronos Group transaction, and potential category growth opportunities.  You don’t want to miss this one!

Notes: Please feel free to invite a retiree friend who hasn’t attended a meeting in a while or has never attended. They will need a government issued picture ID to obtain entry to the property. If they arrive in your car, they do not need to be on the Security List, but if they are driving separately, please ask them to sign up on the website or send us an email at www.retireesconnection.org no later than noon on the Thursday before the meeting to be added to the Security List.

Doors to the cafeteria open at 10:00 a.m. for fellowship and light refreshments.  The meeting starts promptly at 11:00 a.m.

Our meeting is cancelled if Chesterfield County Public Schools are closed.  If they are delayed, we will still meet.
