The Second of our Winter Lecture Series takes place at 7pm on Friday, January 27th in the Community Hall, Lucy Corr Village, titled  “Confederate Patents & Inventors” by Jack Knight.   He will highlight the invention climate before the war, the establishment and workings of the Confederate States patent office, and provide information about selected Confederate inventors, along with proposing new explanations for the relative lack of patents in the South versus the North prior to and during the war!  Please call our events line, 804-796-7003 to make reservations.
